Meet Ms. Danelle Patterson

 

Hello Blue Jays,

 

My name is Danelle Patterson and I'm blessed to be back at St. Pius X Catholic School as your school counselor. I am a graduate of TAMU-CC with my Master's in Professional School Counseling, a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Licensed Professional Counselor - Associate supervised by Carrie Follmar, M.Ed., M.S., LPC-S.

 

Through my experience in practicum and internship, I have served youth and adolescent clients at the Antonio E. Garcia Center and students at West Oso ISD in individual counseling, group counseling, and guidance curriculum addressing social/emotional, career, and academic concerns. In addition to being your school counselor, I am a second-year doctoral student at TAMU-CC pursing a PhD in Counselor Education. 

 

I am a proud mother to two daughters who attend Rockport-Fulton High School and Rockport-Fulton Middle School.

As a school counselor, I want to communicate with you the importance of confidentiality with your students. Situations arise and sometimes we do not know who we can talk to about what we are feeling or thinking. My role as a school counselor is to be here for your child(ren); to give them a safe and private place to talk about their concerns and help them learn skills to address their needs.
